Just give an example of every time one evil deed forces him to commit another. And describe what happened and what would have happened if he hadn't done the next evil deed and why he felt forced to do the next one. You could describe any changes in his attitude. If at some point it seems that he's getting mores casual about it. Of if at some point he could have stopped and cut his losses but didn't. You could call it One Thing Led to Another and the Rest is History.
