Is there something wrong with black ops knifing hit detection?

i usually dont complain alot i been playing sense black ops but it seems to happen alot i knife first then the other guy knifes but i die insted..i dont get it and earlier the same guy got me 2 times in a row he knifed me while running fast me so he basicly knife the aired when i pressed the knife on first both times
