Why is it such a big deal that Michael Phelps smoked pot?

Because Phelps is a worldwide superstar and the best swimmer in the world. And is supposed to be a role model for swimmers. He should be seen smoking marijuana. By the way after his DWI a few years back he should be more aware of his responsibilities. Hopefully, he will move past this infamous event and learn from and keep breaking records in the pool.
